Updating or Upgrading the COMtrexx
*Warning: Touching voltage-carrying conductors or telephone connections can cause life-threatening electric shocks. The COMtrexx also contains hazardous voltages outside the power supply unit (e.g. ringer voltages). Work on active, contact-hazardous parts is only permitted after a voltage-free condition has been established. Working near active parts is only permitted if these parts are voltage-free or protected against direct contact.
Disconnect the power plug of the device. Also disconnect the devices from additional power sources (e.g. UPS, if installed).
Wait at least 3 minutes for the capacitors in the unit to discharge.
*Caution: Electrostatic charges can destroy sensitive components.
Disconnect the power plugs of the device and accessories before an electrician opens the casing. Also disconnect the devices from additional power sources (e.g. UPS, if installed).
Divert electrostatic charges away from yourself before touching the circuit boards with your hands or the tool. To do this, touch an earthed metallic object, such as the device's earthing terminal or a PC casing.
*Important: The left slot (A) is intended for the CPU module (included in the scope of delivery); the right slot (4) for the COMpact NET module.
Inserting a Module
1.Insert the module with the component side to the left between the board guides (A).
2.Push the module backwards until the board lock (B) engages.
Removing a module
1.Release the board lock e.g. using your right thumb.
2.Pull out the module with your free hand.
