Notes and requirements for initial commissioning
*Note: The description applies from firmware version 2.0.
Web interface
The setup is made using the web interface of the COMtrexx.
The following recommendations apply to the web interface:
PC with a recommended screen resolution of 1280 × 1024 pixel
Browsers: Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome (current version in each case)
You can reach the COMtrexx via:
https://comtrexx.local, prerequisite: only one COMtrexx in the network
https://169.254.1.240 (permanent IP address from the APIPA address range)
via the IP address allocated by the DHCP server
*Note: During the initial setup, the IP address must be assigned via DHCP (standard setting of most routers).
*Important: If you would like to integrate the COMtrexx into an existing network, please contact the system administrator responsible for this. Making changes to an existing network may cause considerable malfunctions.
Licences
The following clearances must be made during commissioning:
Initialisation in the CIC (COMtrexx Initialisation Center), prerequisite: Single Sign-On (SSO) access
user licenses, purchase from distributor, redeem in the Voucher Center
Alternatively, the tryout mode is available (activation of the system with 3 free user test licences) is possible.
*Note: For a regular verification with the CIC and the Voucher Center, the COMtrexx requires Internet access. Without this synchronisation, the COMtrexx is set back to its initial state.
Virtual Machine
To create a virtual machine you require:
system Windows Server 2016 Standard or Windows 10
Microsoft Hyper-V enabled
vhdx file, download in the Shop
*Note: The simultaneous use of different virtual machines (e.g. Microsoft Hyper-V, Oracle VM VirtualBox, VMware ESXi) is not possible.
*Note: An imported vhdx file can only be used for one virtual machine. To create more virtual machines, the file must be imported again or a backup copy must be used.
