Opening the Casing
*Warning: Improper handling of the device can cause life-threatening electric shocks.
Only a qualified electrician may open the casing and carry out installation work on the open casing.
*Warning: Touching voltage-carrying conductors or telephone connections can cause life-threatening electric shocks. The COMtrexx also contains hazardous voltages outside the power supply unit (e.g. ringer voltages). Work on active, contact-hazardous parts is only permitted after a voltage-free condition has been established. Working near active parts is only permitted if these parts are voltage-free or protected against direct contact.
Disconnect the power plugs of the device and accessories before an electrician opens the casing. Also disconnect the devices from additional power sources (e.g. UPS, if installed).
Wait at least 3 minutes for the capacitors in the unit to discharge.
*Warning: Overvoltages, such as those during thunderstorms, can cause life-threatening electric shocks.
Do not touch the COMtrexx or any equipment connected to it during a thunderstorm.
